South Vancouver Little League hosted the 6th annual Sussex Insurance South Van Little League Victoria Day 9/10 Invitational May 17-20.
The championship game rainout was played May 26 at 3pm – South Van Veterans won gold over the Trout Lake Blue Jays.

For the second year in a row, SVLL fielded a team to compete in the Kamloops Minor Baseball Association (KMBA) 13U Fall Classic. The 2019 team had 6 returning SVLL players from the 2018 team.
The 2018 team experienced limited success winning only 1 game out of the 4 games played. This year, the 2019 team went undefeated winning all 5 games with 4 of those games being won by mercy (leading by 10 runs or more after 5 innings), including the semi-final game against the Tri-City Thunder and the championship game against the Kamloops River Dogs. The team scored 68 runs while allowing only 12 runs against over the 5 games played. During the tournament, the team also scored 3 home runs. The play of the team over the weekend was spectacular!
Congratulations to the SVLL team on winning the 2019 KMBA 13U Fall Classic Championship.
District 6 has entered both the 13U AA and AAA Baseball BC Provincial tournaments. If players are interested or have questions, they can contact Serj directly at serj@shaw.ca.
Player Eligibility
Must have played for one of the Little Leagues in District 6 during the 2019 season – Hastings, New Westminster, Richmond, Trout Lake, or South Vancouver.
Must be 13 years or younger by December 31, 2019 (cannot turn 14 in 2019).

Fees
Once player has been selected onto a provincial team, the fee is $125. The fee includes a tournament souvenir t-shirt (if provided by the host). Players must provide their own pants, socks and belts (colour TBA). Hats and playing equipment will be provided.

South Vancouver Juniors players participated in the District 6 team in the 2019 Intermediate All-Stars BC Provincials, hosted by Central Saanich Little League. District 6 finished second in the tournament, which was won by Coquitlam Little League.
