Photo Day on May 5
Photo Day will be held Sunday May 5, 2024 between 8am and 11:30am at Memorial South Park near 41st and Windsor (by the duck pond).
It will be held RAIN or SHINE. Assigned times for each team will be communicated to you. Team parents, please communicate your team’s specific time as soon as possible.
Every player needs to fill out a photo form prior to arriving even if not purchasing any photos since everyone will receive a free “Memory Mate”. Arrive at least 10 minutes before your assigned time and give yourself plenty of time to find parking. Have your photo forms filled out in advance to help avoid delays.
Please bring your own glove or bat as the photographer will not be providing any props to avoid sharing of equipment. Teams are asked leave the photo area immediately after their shoot is done to avoid overcrowding of the area.
Hit-A-Thon
South Vancouver Little League’s Hit-A-Thon fundraiser will take place after team photos on Photo Day (Sunday May 5).
All players in the league get 3 hits at the Hit-A-Thon. For every $20 raised by 6pm on May 4, players earn an extra hit to a maximum of 10.
All hits are off a tee. Younger players hit a tennis ball, older players hit a baseball.
Prizes
Players that raise money can win prizes:
- PlayStation 5 drawn from the top fundraiser from each division
- Canadians tickets for the top fundraiser from each division
- Pizza party for the overall top fundraising team
- $100 gift card for longest hit for each boy and girl in Minors, Majors, and Intermediates
- $50 gift card for longest hit for each boy and girl in BlastBall, T-Ball, and Rookies
- SVLL satin jacket for players that raise $500 or more
- SVLL navy or white hoodie for players that raise $300 to $499
- SVLL tee shirt for players that raise $150 to $299
Donations will be open to June 14 for top player and team fundraising.

- You will be emailed with a fundraising link – share this link for contributions to be credited to the player and team.
- Contributions are not eligible as a charitable donation for tax purposes.

Opening Day
The South Vancouver Little League 2023 season kicks off at noon on Sunday April 16 with opening ceremonies to welcome all new and returning players and their families.
Opening day is for all players from BlastBall to Juniors. Coaches will line up with their players outside of the fence at the Joan & Phil Lake Diamond at Memorial South Park. Players and coaches should be in full uniform.
Ceremonies start at noon, rain or shine, so all players should be at the field by 11:45 am.
Players and coaches! Stick around after opening ceremonies hot dogs and the league photo in the outfield.
Before the Opening Day Ceremonies, there will be a South Van gear table and Equipment Swap table set up beside the concession starting at 10:30 am. Both of these tables were very popular last Saturday at Field Prep Day, so we’re bringing them back on Sunday for Part 2.
The South Van Gear table will have a wide variety of the latest apparel available for purchase.
The Equipment Swap table still has some excellent items (gloves, bats, batting helmets, cleats, baseball pants, batting gloves, etc.) leftover from last weekend. Please bring along any lightly-used equipment that no longer fits your player to donate to the table and exchange for some new-to-you gear. If you don’t have something to donate to the swap table but are interested in some of the items available, you can make a small cash donation if you like but should feel no pressure to do so – everything must go!
SVLL Gear Pickup April 6
Pick up your orders placed last month online. Pickup will be this Saturday April 6 between 9am – 1pm at the main diamond at Ross & 41st. Look for the table near the score shack.
If you missed this sale there will be a limited quantity of items available to buy on-site on Saturday.
