Volunteers Wanted
The SVLL executive team would like to invite all of you to join our team of dedicated parent volunteers to help continue the tradition of keeping us the envy of volunteer run communities in Vancouver. Beyond team parents/team duties/coaches, we are always in need of more volunteers to assist us with the organizing of our league. If you are looking to be more involved to help us become part of the solution to our many areas we want to improve upon, please give us a shout!
Most Executive and Coordinator positions involve no more than five hours of volunteer hours per month. We are currently in urgent need of one or more Concession Managers, Equipment Managers, and Division Coordinators (T-Ball and Rookies). Many of our current Board members and Coordinators will be graduating with their children within the next year or two and SVLL is in need of our next generation of core volunteers to keep the show going!
Here is a list of current positions on the volunteers page. Email vicepresident@svll.ca with your interest and you can start learning more about the position from our current volunteer.

Closing Ceremonies June 16
Closing Ceremonies will be held rain or shine at noon on Sunday, June 16th (Father’s Day) to mark the official end of the 2024 spring season. Teams from BlastBall to Intermediates are highly encouraged to attend. Please meet your team near the left field entrance to the Main Diamond (41st Avenue & Ross Street) by 11:45am. There will be no hot dogs provided but lots of awards will be handed out!
Immediately following Closing Ceremonies will be the Coaches’ Base Race (all T-Ball & Rookies head coaches, please be ready to run or delegate your spot to an assistant) and then the Coaches’ Game (all coaches are welcome to participate and no RSVP is needed – just show up; play-by-play will be offered by players).
All league-owned uniforms and equipment need to be returned to your team by Closing Ceremonies (players from Rookies to Intermediates will not be in uniform at Closing Ceremonies). Please wash jerseys and return to your Team Parent. Players can keep their hats, belts, and socks (BlastBall and T-Ball players can keep their Mr. Lube jerseys). Coaches/Teams will be asked to return uniform bins and equipment to the storage locker the following week (details will follow in a separate email). Uniform deposits will be returned upon receiving returned uniforms for the entire team so please kindly ensure you do your part by June 16th and return to your player’s jersey to your team regardless of your availability on June 16th.
BlastBall and T-Ball players – please wear your jerseys to Closing Ceremonies. We’d like to get a photo of all our BlastBallers and T-Ballers in their Mr. Lube jerseys to send to this sponsor as a thank you. This photo will take place after the Coaches’ Base Race.
The concession (but not the grill) will be open during the Coaches’ Game. In addition, there will be a merchandise table set up with all the latest in SVLL Gear.
We greatly appreciate your help and cooperation and look forward to seeing everyone at Closing Ceremonies!
